Capresso - Infinity Conical Burr Grinder - Coffee Grinders. Great grinder couple of flaws. Review by Ern. This grinder is probably the most consistent in its price range. It comes with a couple of quirks though like all things. First static is bad after cleaning but it subsides about after a week of use. The other problem I have is the chute catching grinds. It is very problematic especially with more oily beans.

I reccomed weighing the beans as you go because it allows you to clean the chute easily of you plan to switch brew methods.. Other than that a very decent grinder. It has never given me any problems, though it is very difficult to clean. I read somewhere that the best method is to use a vacuum cleaner (one with tools, of course).
It works adequately for me.. I bother to clean it. I'm a total coffee amateur (and probably slob). I use a Via Venezia (Starbucks' version before I wore that one out). My wife loves the coffee this combination of grinder and espresso machine makes.
I don't think it's great, but I've had much worse. To testify to the fortitude of the machine, I grind mostly French Roast.. Yes.. I use French Roast for espresso. I also, a few times a year, headed out on vacation, grind it for a press. The French Roast is an oilier, stickier bean than espresso.
The grinder has no trouble with it. I also use Starbucks Italian Roast with regularity. Occasionally I will use a true espresso roast or some specialty coffee, but not often. If you're fussy and or have an espresso machine capable of outstanding coffee, I doubt it will be acceptable.
For amateur slobs like me, it works perfectly. Oh.. Did I mention it's inexpensive? Not cheap, but inexpensive. Beats the heck out of a $5. If you use a Via Venezia or similar, you should give this a try before you spend $3. It might just be the right fit.
This is my first upgrade to conical burr and I am real happy. I do a medium grind, not espresso so have not experienced much static. Before pulling the coffee drawer I give the base a few light raps on the sides with 2 hands and the grounds settle into the drawer quite well.
I dont leave unground beans in the feeder reservoir because the instructions say not to, so they stay fresh in the original container. It is quick, quiet and very efficient at grinding every bean. I love the delicious coffee, especially Tarazzo! Given the many complaints about static I have to assume that the manufacturer has fixed the problem, Otherwise I don't like the timer- why not just on and off button? Also the coarseness/fineness selector doesn't seem to produce a very different sized particle.
All in all it makes a great cut of coffee (Posted on 1/5/2. Review by Espresso is good. Normally I make a pot of coffee in the morning then a couple shots throughout the day.
At first, the static problem other people mention was pretty bad. Grind some coffee and there were coffee grinds everywhere. This was kind of annoying, but after awhile the static problem went away. Now, there isn't a static problem any more. The grind is consistent which produces a good shot from my machine. I haven't tried any of the other higher priced grinders, but I have become very satisfied with this grinder.
I kind of use the dryer sheet as a mitt or glove as I remove the coffee drawer. I reuse the dryer sheet until it appears that in no longer dissipates the static. This method works great for me and one dryer sheet lasts a long time!
My issue with this grinder is that the “feeder channel” becomes clogged with ground coffee and is extremely hard to clean. After two years of use, our grinder becomes so clogged that the motor is over- stressed and stops running. It has become necessary to clean more often recently. We perform a fairly thorough cleaning, but we have a hard time removing all the grounds from within the “feeder channel” which is hard to access.
It would be nice if there was a way to better access that area! If this machine was easier to disassemble for a thorough cleaning, a few times a year, I would give it 5 stars! Does anyone have a quick and easy way to access the “feeder channel” for cleaning or how to disassemble the machine? Tom(Posted on 8/8/2. Great except for static. Review by Suzanne.
Have had this coffee grinder for three years, and it has worked well. I like Turkish grind and it does it well. But the static is a constant problem and the counter is always a mess. I also grind oily French roast exclusively.
Needs occasional cleaning. Great functional machine with longevity. It worked fine well after the espresso machine gave up! I upgraded my machine to Sylvia and the grinder hummed along happily. But this week, it has gotten cranky - however I adjust the grind, Sylvia is dumping watery coffee. Of course, Miss Sylvia is known to be equally cranky, so I'm not sure if the problem is with the grinder or the machine! In general, it seems that any machine doesn't last more than 5 years these days so might have to upgrade my grinder.
And yes - the static is an issue but I've learned to deal with it by grinding a few minutes ahead of time and using a small spoon to dump out the coffee. Really not as big an issue as some people make it out to be (Posted on 5/3/2.
Big mistake. Review by Amy. Sorry I bought this. I will try the suggestion with the foil. He is percolator stove top maker. Mostly he uses eight o clock. Starbucks christmas blend was a choking point ( which I did not think was that oily at all ). I use it for fine grind (aeropress, pourover).
One thing I would change to it would be a simple on/off switch along with the timer mechanism. I pre- measure my beans and dump them in the hopper so I have to guess at how much time the grind needs, you figure this out over time.
It would also be nice if the hopper was a smoke color so the beans get less light. The static isn't terrible, it's worse with dark roasts which I don't get much.
All in all, I am pleased with my grinder. It's way better than a blade grinder. Once you deal with the static. Review by I solved the static problem. I tried several grinders and sent them back.
I sent this suggestion to the mfg. The static charge is OUTRAGEOUS! Consequently, I have to grind ahead of time to keep the grinds from flying out of the cup! Grind seems reasonably good for home use - no, it is not the best ever, but it works well enough for decent espresso. Cannot speak to durability as mine is still pretty new. It was a huge upgrade over our $2.
Black & Decker grinder, which we've now reverted to until we figure out what to buy next. I'm not sure if the quality of this model is poor, overall, or if we just got a lemon. When we pull the plastic coffee catch bin out coffee jumps everywhere - all over the machine and my hand. Reading reviews online it turns out that this is a common complaint. The grinds are fairly consistent.
I use this to grind fine coffee for aeropress and coarse for french press. I have found this relatively inexpensive grinder performs as well as a much more expensive model, plus it is extremely quiet. Pros: Quiet, Easy To Use, Easy To Clean. Cons: (Posted on 4/2. Works! Review by Segue. It held up quite well to service as a grinder for a coffee booth at a festival.
Had Black and Decker cheap helical grinder (paid 2. I just bought my first espresso machine, a Breville 8. ESXL and just want to get the best possible taste for small price, I choose this one. This is a great grinder, easy to clean, works well overall. Never remove the containter with coffee in it.. The small brush for cleaning could be improved. Sorry for my english.
Thanks scg ! Pros: Easy To Use, Built, Great Taste, PRICECons: Plastic (Posted on 1. Good for the money. Review by Beach Bum. It's a good step- up from blade grinders. I give it a shake and a tap on the counter to get some of the grounds out.
For the price, a good buy. Just don't expect commercial machine results and you'll be satisfied. Pros: Easy To Use, Easy To Clean.
Cons: Not really turkish grind (Posted on 7/3. This product meets all expectations. Review by Mary M.
